In Memory Of
Our Friends That Have Crossed Over the Rainbow Bridge

Pebbles
Pebbles was the princess of SCAR. She disliked dogs but loved humans. She lived the high life at SCAR and even had her own room. Pebbles was extremely loved, and her passing broke everyone's hearts.

Maverick
Mav was a very special dog. He was a big teddy bear. Mav loved life and his strawberry toy. He was loved by many, especially Ms. Kay. She always made sure he had everything he needed. Mav was a staff favorite, even when he would cause chaos around the shelter.

Zeek
Zeek came to SCAR very damaged. It was thought that he would never walk, but he did. It may not have been perfect, but he did his best. Zeek's nickname was Picasso, he was very artistic. He may have been a grumpy old man, but he was extremely loved.

Sam
Sam came from a horrible situation. It caused trauma that could not be fixed. She was very picky with people, but if she chose to trust you, it was a major honor! When she did like you, she was a huge cuddle bug.

Samson
Samson was originally adopted out to a wonderful family as 'Tyler' a few years ago. Due to his ACL injury and arthritis, as well as his family moving, he was brought back. He was a super sweet little man, who brought happiness to anyone that met him.

Rosita
Rosita was found living in a trailer park. She was nothing but bones, had no hair and was full of fluid due to an overload of parasites. Staff fell in love, but we still could not seem to get her in great shape. We had a year or two of almost good, then her immune system told us she was on borrowed time. We decided we would let her tell us when it was time. Her body had been failing her, but our love for her had not.

Myles
When we found Myles, he had a broken leg and been pumped full of birdshot. This sweet old man never complained, he was always in great spirits. Everyone that met Myles loved him. Even in his old age, we believe he was around 9 years old when he passed, he was just as spry as a puppy. We would come into the office some days to see him laying on our desk!
However, we came in one morning to find that he had already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Although Myles never had a forever home, he passed with a smile on his face, knowing that our staff loved him just as much, if not more, than a 'real' family would have.
